Development of urban services and sustainable productions.
In order to promote a more sustainable productive city model, it is necessary to provide for a built-in vision of the subsystems that make up urban functioning and its relationship with the productive system. A complex vision of the city, ranging from its shape to its infrastructure, through systems of production and consumption of resources or models of life-style, is the appropriate framework to address the challenges of the New Urban Agenda. Therefore, smart cities seek to promote new models of economic development, promote management solutions and productive sectors linked to energy efficiency, circular economy or green economy, and thus move towards a built-in urban development model.
